Misconceptions are errors in understanding concepts that occur in learning, one of which is in the natural sciences subject matter of simple planes. This study aims to overcome the misconceptions that occur in fifth grade students regarding simple machine materials in elementary schools. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The results of the research on simple machine misconceptions in class V showed that students indicated misconceptions, namely the types of simple planes: levers, inclined planes, pulleys and axle wheels
