ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATEMATIKA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 6 TALANG KELAPA

This study aims to identify and describe students' critical thinking skills in solving higher order thinking skill (HOTS) type math problems in grade IV SD Negeri 6 Talang Kelapa. The research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative with 31 research subjects, namely fourth grade students at SD Negeri 6 Talang Kelapa for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research was carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. The data collection method used is using test techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. From the results of the study showed that there were 8 people or 25.8% of students included in the category of high critical thinking skills, 9 people or 29.09% of students included in the category of moderate critical thinking skills, and 14 people or 45.16% of students included in the category of low critical thinking skills. So it can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills in solving higher order thinking skill (HOTA) type math questions in class IV SD Negeri 6 Talang Kelapa, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province are still in the low categor
