This research is a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which aims to improve the results of learning mathematics in the material of arithmetic sequences and series for class X-5 SMA Negeri 7 Balikpapan Timur in the 2022/2023 academic year through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model. This research took place in two cycles. Data collection techniques are observation, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 36 students. The indicator of research success is if students get a score of ≥ 72 at least 75% of the total.
