In this study, multi-walled carbon nanotube(MWNT)/epoxy resin composites were fabricated and characterized. To optimize the fabrication process, several process variables were investigated using Design of Experiments (DOE) method. 0.5 wt% MWNTs were dispersed in Epon 862 epoxy matrix under various sonication conditions, followed by cast molding. Mechanical properties including Young\u27s modulus and energy were the responses for optimization. The results indicated that higher sonication intensity and longer sonication time seem to reduce the mechanical properties of MWNT/epoxy composites by shortening the nanotubes.
