Resumen: El objetivo principal de este trabajo es estudiar las propiedades psicométricas del Child Behavior Checklist para preescolares (CBCL 1½-5) en su versión en español para padres. Se trata de un estudio de tipo metodológico. Se trabajó con una muestra intencional de 534 niños entre 1 año y medio y 5 años. Se ha estudiado la validez de criterio y la confiabilidad. En la técnica de grupos contrastados se comparó una muestra de sujetos derivados a servicios de salud mental (n=162); con una muestra de niños de población general (n=372).
