IMPLEMENTASI NILAI – NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DISIPLIN DAN SOPAN SANTUN SISWA KELAS 5 SDN BANDUNGAN 02 KABUPATEN SEMARANG

In the modern era with technological developments, students showed low character traits, such as submitting late and low quality assignments, and submitting parents workt. Students choose to play with their gadgets instead of completing their assignments. The study aimed to evaluate teacher's role in implementing character traits of dicipline and politeness to fifth-grade elementary school students. The research was qualitative. The subject of the study were fifth grade elementary school principal classroom teacher and extracurricular teacher. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through qualitative case study analysis. The results of the study showed that the teacher's role was very important in implementing the values of discipline and politeness to fifth-grade students in building their character. The implementation process began with planing, then the implementation process. The implementation was guided by the planned strategy, through learning process, during extracurricular activities, and through real examples given by the teacher to students.
