RANCANG BANGUN MESIN PENCACAH ECENG GONDOK BASAH DENGAN KAPASITAS 50 KG/JAM SEBAGAI BAHAN PUPUK ORGANIK

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan atas latar belakang masalah limbah di kali malang yang terganggu kelestariannya dengan berkembangnya pertumbuhan massal gulma air. Terutama limbah dari jenis eceng gondok (Eichornia crassipes). Dampak dari pertumbuhan gulma air ini adalah meningkatkan evapotranspirasi, sedangkan gulma yang mati dapat menimbulkan terjadinya pulau-pulau terapung, namun keberadaan sarana diatas tidak terawat sebagaimana mestinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat suatu mesin pencacah yang nantinya dapat mengolah eceng gondok untuk menghasilkan potongan eceng gondok dengan ukuran yang diinginkan. Pencacah ini digerakkan oleh motor penggerak listrik dengan yang mana memiliki sistem kerja sebagai berikut, motor penggerak memutar poros utama, kemudian pisau pencacah dimana terdapat 2 pisau pencacah ikut bergerak dengan poros. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah mesin pencacah eceng gondok yang mampu mencacah eceng gondok menjadi kecil dengan kapasitas 50 Kg/ Jam.Kata kunci: Mesin Pencacah, eceng gondok, pupuk organicAbstractThis research was conducted against the background of the problem of waste in Malang River whose sustainability has been disturbed by the mass growth of water weeds. Especially the water hyacinth waste. The impact of the growth of these water weeds is to increase evapotranspiration, while dead weeds can cause floating islands, but the existence of the above facilities is not properly maintained. The purpose of this research is to make a chopping machine that can process water hyacinth to produce pieces of water hyacinth with desired size. This counter is driven by an electric motor which has the following working system, the drive motor rotates the main shaft, then the chopper blade which has 2 chopper blades moves with the shaft.
