Evaluation of strabismus currently requires expertise in using prisms to measure horizontal and vertical misalignment in different fields of gaze, which is time-consuming and not widely available in clinics. As a solution, we sought to develop a rapid, automated measurement of strabismus using a commercially available headmounted virtual reality display with video eye tracking.
