Necrobiotic xanthogranuloma (NXG) is a rare form of non-Langerhan cell histiocytosis that presents with yelloworange papules or placoid cutaneous lesions involving the periorbital region, trunk, and extremities. NXG is associated with an increased risk of paraproteinemia, most commonly an IgG monoclonal gammopathy in 80% of cases. Proptosis, strabismus, uveitis, scleritis and conjunctivitis are reported ophthalmic manifestations of NXG
