We performed plant dyeing used many kind of plant pigment. To stay the color on the cloth or fiber, we used mordant, dissolution of metal compounds including Aluminium ion, Copper ion and Iron ion. In spite of using the same plant pigment, we got different color as chosen the different mordant. And we got the different color as chose the different kind of fiber even using the same pigment and mordant. It is said that to use the lye of the camellia as the mordant we can get the most beautiful color. So we tested lye of camellia and compared with the color dyed by chemical mordant.
