La Gran redada del siglo XVIII y la Hermandad de los Gitanos de Sevilla.

In the following article a study of the first years of life of the Brotherhood of the Gypsies is carried out from its creation, in the year 1753, until the beginning of the 19th century. To contextualize the emergence of this Brotherhood, a historical tour has been carried out through all those pragmatics, laws and testimonies decreed in order to control and dominate the gypsy ethnic group; since its arrival in the Peninsula, until the Great raid of 1749. In order to carry out the study of this Brotherhood, consultations with the General Archive of the Archbishopric of Seville (AGAS) have been fundamental, as well as a more specialized bibliography is the one that has allowed to reconstruct the history of this ethnic group, both at the peninsular level and at the level of the city of Seville.En el siguiente artículo se lleva a cabo un estudio de los primeros años de vida de la Hermandad de los Gitanos desde su creación, en el año 1753, hasta principios del siglo XIX. Para contextualizar el surgimiento de esta Hermandad, se ha realizado un recorrido histórico por todas aquellas pragmáticas, leyes y testimonios decretados con el fin de controlar y dominar a la etnia gitana; desde su llegada a la Península, hasta la Gran redada de 1749. Para llevar a cabo el estudio de esta Hermandad, han sido fundamentales las consultas al Archivo General del Arzobispado de Sevilla (AGAS), así como una bibliografía más especializada es la que ha permitido reconstruir la historia de este grupo étnico, tanto a nivel peninsular, como a nivel de la ciudad de Sevilla
