STUDY OBJECTIVES: Digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia has significant advantages for dissemination and scalability vs. in-person cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia and is, therefore, well-positioned to be the first-line intervention for insomnia. However, only about half of patients remit following digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia. Evidence suggests that treatment engagement is a critical driver of digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia effectiveness, and barriers to engagement disproportionately impact people from under-resourced communities.
