The family, as a context of development, is understood as the basis for socio-emotional development. Family members learn social skills and competencies through modeling and the quality of social interactions (Baptista, 2005). Family support also influences the perception of life satisfaction of young adults (Olszewski-Kubilius et al., 2014). The objective of this article is to understand the association between the family social support received by the gifted person and their socio-emotional development.
