Representaciones sociales de estudiantes universitarios durante su educación a distancia por pandemia por covid 19

The objective of this communication is to know the social representations (Moscovici, 2013) that students from two public universities have had during their distance education due to the pandemic and how their learning practices have been transformed through the use of different tools. The methodology used is qualitative with a descriptive approach using in-depth interviews. The research participants are 4 students from two public universities in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico, who studied remotely for four semesters (2020-2022). The study allows us to understand the meaning of social representations considering their interests, needs and motivations that respond to socio-cultural-economic patterns established since the confinement due to the COVID 19 pandemic, it is emphasized in identifying teaching and learning situations from experiences that they assume as a social group (Jodelete, 1986). The main results are disclosed organized into three themes: 1. Use and employment of educational technologies used remotely during the pandemic; 2. Developed digital skills; 3. University experiences in the use of educational technologies in their teaching and learning processes. The conclusions are presented, recognizing in a comparison the challenges, difficulties, convergences, divergences and areas of opportunity that the students lived in both universities during this important stage of their university education, ending with the bibliography consulted in the present study. La presente comunicación tiene como objetivo conocer las representaciones sociales (Moscovici, 2013), que los estudiantes de dos universidades públicas han tenido durante su educación a distancia por la pandemia y cómo se han transformado sus prácticas de aprendizaje a través del empleo de diferentes herramientas. La metodología empleada es de tipo cualitativa con un enfoque descriptivo empleando entrevistas a profundidad. Los participantes de la investigación son 4 estudiantes de dos universidades públicas en el estado de Hidalgo, México, que estudiaron a distancia durante cuatro semestres (2020-2022). El estudio permite comprender el sentido de las representaciones sociales considerando sus intereses, necesidades y motivaciones que responden a patrones socio-culturales-económicos establecidos desde el confinamiento por la pandemia por COVID 19, se acentúa en identificar las situaciones de enseñanza y aprendizaje desde las experiencias personales que asumen como grupo social (Jodelete, 1986). Los principales resultados se dan a conocer organizados en tres temáticas: 1. Uso y empleo de las tecnologías educativas empleadas a distancia durante la pandemia; 2. Competencias digitales desarrolladas; 3. Experiencias universitarias en el uso de las tecnologías educativas en sus procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Se presentan las conclusiones reconociendo en un comparativo los retos, dificultades, las convergencias, divergencias y áreas de oportunidad que vivieron los estudiantes en ambas universidades durante esta importante etapa de su formación universitaria, se finaliza con la bibliografía consultada en el presente estudio
