Uncertainty intolerance (UI) refers to cognitive, behavioral,and emotional responsesto eventsexperienced as uncertain, regardless of the probability of outcomes. In eating disorders (ED), the distinction between the disorder-specific II, the trait of UI and the symptomatological picture in ED has yet to be clarified. The aim of the study was to characterize the intolerance touncertainty in ED. In the narrative review, studies published between 2018 and 2021 in the PsychINFO, Web of Science and Academic Google databases were searched.
