In October and November 1964, after attending the Second Pan African Ornithological Congress at Pietermaritzburg, Natal, I spent some six weeks at Rhodes Inyanga Orchards in the Inyanga National Park, Rhodesia, at the kind invitation of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Payne. During my stay I observed and collected birds in the Park and its immediate surroundings. In this paper the ornithological results of my stay are recorded. A collecting permit had been obtained for me in advance by Mrs. Payne, and by kind permission of the Chief Warden I was allowed to collect in the National Park.
