Oman material of four lizard species is described and discussed ; it comprises specimens of a previously undescribed gecko, Phyllodactylus gallagheri, two lacertids — the poorly known Lacerta jayakari Boulenger, 1887, and L. cyanura, also described here for the first time, and a skink, Ablepharus pannonicus Lichtenstein, 1823. These species have no strong affinities with any members of the mainly Saharo-Sindian fauna now occupying much of Arabia but are closely related to forms occurring to the north of the peninsula.
