By providing early bilateral cochlear implants, we can stimulate auditory development in congenitally deaf children. Electrophysiological studies have shown that despite early intervention, children with cochlear implants have some cortical differences which could reflect higher order deficits. In this thesis, we look at cortical auditory networks as a means to understand differences in auditory processing. To this end, a new implementation of a neural source localization method for electrophysiological data was created to allow more efficient data processing and facilitate further analyses.
