Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the most vulnerable regions to climate change. This study analyses farming system of alluvial lands and its impact on the ecosystems, riparian of water ways including gallery forests in the plain of oti. From surveys of 65 farmers, this research shows that agricultural lands are exhausted and depleted; forcing farmers to look for new lands more fertile and lands of the extensive choice. The adoption of the against season’s crops to supplement fragile rainfed crops can improve socio-economic conditions of farmers.
