La Revista Científica UDO Agrícola de la Escuela de Ingeniería Agronómica de la Universidad de Oriente en su noveno aniversario (2001-2009). II. Análisis bibliométrico

The Scientific Journal UDO Agrícola publishes original and unpublished scientific papers in Agronomy Sciences. Such papers are mainly focus on aspects of agronomy, botany, entomology, phytopathology, soils science, genetics and plant breeding, ecology, biotechnology, irrigation and drainage, agricultural machinery, socials science, agricultural economy, etc. Also, papers in the areas of Veterinary, Animal Production, Food Technology and vegetal and animal Biology both terrestrial and aquatic can be published. The objective was to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the Journal of the first nine years of creation. In the review process (arbitration) have participated 14 universities and 10 research institutes, both public and private from Venezuela and 58 countries. Of the reviewers, 18 are from Europe, 17 from America, 16 from Asia, five from Africa and two from Oceania. Of all articles published in the Journal (238), 207 are in Spanish (87.0%), 26 in English (10.9%) and five in Portuguese (2.1%) while 206 are in the area of agronomy (86.6%), 14 in biology (5.9%), 12 in animal husbandry (5.0%) and six in food technology (2.5%). Of the Venezuelan institutions that have participated in the journal 9 are universities and 19 research institutes, both public and private. Authors from 19 countries, nine from America, five from Europe, five from Asia and one from Africa have participated.La Revista Científica UDO Agrícola publica artículos científicos originales e inéditos en Ciencias Agrícolas que enfoquen aspectos de agronomía, botánica, entomología, fitopatología, suelos, ingeniería agrícola, genética y mejoramiento de plantas, ecología, biotecnología, sociales, economía, etc. También podrán publicarse artículos en las áreas de Veterinaria, Zootecnia, Tecnología de Alimentos y Biología terrestre y acuática tanto vegetal como animal.
