Con el objeto de seleccionar el mejor genotipo para las condiciones agroecológicas de El Ejido Francisco Villa, municipio de Lerdo, Durango, México, se evaluaron cuatro genotipos de maíz. La siembra se realizó el 23 de agosto de 2007 en surcos separados a 0,8 m y a una distancia entre planta de 0,2 m, se fertilizó con 80 kg de N y 17,48 kg de P por hectárea. Se utilizaron dos híbridos (H-412 y H419) y dos variedades de polinización libre, Blanco Hualahuises y San Lorenzo. De cada genotipo se registró el rendimiento de grano y la humedad acumulada en el suelo.
