grantor: University of TorontoThe purpose of this study was to test the psychometric properties of the Long Term Care Family Evaluation Survey. The Family Evaluation Survey, with 31 items in 5 domains was examined for reliability, content validity, and construct validity. Reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha, and validity was assessed using Principal Axis Factoring with orthogonal and oblique rotation techniques. The Survey demonstrated moderate to high reliability; alphas between 0.63 and 0.95 and mean inter-item correlations between 0.32 to 0.73. The factor analysis, however, revealed four underlying factors and these demonstrated consistently high internal reliability (alphas over 0.90). The results suggest that the ...
