grantor: University of TorontoAn analysis of attitudes of family physicians towards depression Was conducted using qualitative methods and dual scaling. Data from, a focus group, a literature review and face-to-face interviews aided in the development of an attitude survey. The 35 item survey was administered to 400 Ontario family physicians. Dual scaling was conducted using the data from the survey and generated attitude profiles of survey respondents. Dual scaling was also helpful in determining association of gender, work environment said length of practice with survey items.
