This project builds on site-specific qualitative data to develop a profile of learning activity which now is largely unrecognized by education providers and explores various learning strategies used by adults in three locations: a unionized factory, a community based training program, and a literacy program. The project developed a Skills and Knowledge Profile (SKP), as a tool for prior learning assessment and recognition. The research conducted in this project examines the educational opportunities provided by the sponsors as well as collects and integrates suggestions for enhancing a learner-centered climate.
