The pharmamcokinetics of nanoparticle theranostics can, in principle, be predicted based on nanoparticle size and charge. Charge is typically assessed using zeta potential measurements, however, correlations between zeta potential and charge may not be direct. To that end, mobilities of a variety of nanoparticles were determined and compared to surface charge, size, and zeta potential of said nanoparticles. It was found that nanoparticle mobility correlates more directly with zeta potential in comparison to estimated surface charge and that nanoparticle electropherograms can be used to show aggregation of nanoparticles over time. The accepted manuscript in pdf format is listed with the files at the bottom of this page.
