Abstract Background Post-transcriptional regulation by heterogeneous ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) is an important regulatory paradigm in cancer development. Our proteomic analysis revealed hnRNPD overexpression in oral dysplasia as compared with normal mucosa; its role in oral carcinogenesis remains unknown.
