Evidence has demonstrated that resveratrol preconditioning exhibits neuroprotection against cerebral IR injury. The current investigation aimed to explore whether pharmacological postconditioning, by administering resveratrol, after a sustained ischemia prior to prolonged reperfusion abrogates cerebral IR injury.
