Background While supplemental oxygen is routinely administered during anesthesia to prevent oxygen desaturation and optimize tissue oxygenation, oxygen delivery practices after intubation are largely unknown. Compiled evidence suggests limiting intraoperative fraction of inspired oxygen (FiO2) to below 60%.
