BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVE: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a heterogeneous collection of breast tumors with numerous differences including morphological characteristics, genetic makeup, immune-cell infiltration, and response to systemic therapy. DNA methylation profiling is a robust tool to accurately identify disease-specific subtypes.
