Background of the Study. With the dramatic advances in medical science during the past decade, physical and mental health has achieved a new premium in our society. The expanding body of medical Knowledge has yielded numerous new and varied medical techniques accompanied with an increase of medical resources in our communities. The growth of medical and hospital insurance plans financially facilitates the utilization of these new resources and techniques and the hospital has increasingly become the center for the study and the treatment of illness.
