February 8-11, 2016.Biometrics is a challenging field which uses physiological and behavioral characteristics of persons in order to establish their identities. Biometrics research requires the fusion of several other fields, fields that are in a continuous development. Among these fields we find image processing, pattern recognition and machine learning. There are many research oportunities in this field, some of the most recent ones being cross-sensor comparisons, liveness detection (in iris recognition), behavioral biometrics and mobile biometrics.
