Introduction: Lower eyelid reconstruction is a challenge for plastic surgeons. It requires knowledge of various surgical techniques and anatomy. In 1973, McGregor published the lateral periorbital zetaplasty technique, which proved to be an excellent alternative within the therapeutic reconstructive arsenal.
