In order to improve the physical quality of the soldiers and civilians in the border areas, cultivate athletes on the battlefield, and improve the combat power of the army, Border Region Party and Government actively organized a series of sports practices for the soldiers and civilians in the border areas during the Yan’an period, including mass sports, army sports, and school sports activities.
