This paper presents the problem of the distribution and access to the property and exploration of agncultural land in Brazil. The area, effectively registered for agricultural purposes, was expanded in 172 millions hectars between 1940 and 1980. However the distribution of land tended to concentration among the middle and, especialy, large crops.
