Arabic is the second language that affects Malay word loans after the arrival of Islam in the Malay Archipelago, especially in Malaya. The process of borrowing words from Arabic in terms morphological, phonetic, and semantic, as well as elements of Arabic in the names of Malays, institutions, etc. Arabic word loans in Malay language are about 2,000 words in Al-Hamid dictionary and Glossary of Terms. However, all the words borrowed from Arabic do not carry the same meaning from their original language, until they cause errors in the understanding of Quranic verses in Malay society.
