We analyzed a system of two bosonic atoms in an isotropic two-dimensional harmonic trap with a finite-range soft-core interaction model. We carefully examined the correlation properties of this system across a wide range of control parameter values. Our findings revealed that in the presence of repulsion, the ground state could be well represented by the product of functions involving the radial and angular coordinates, independent of the interaction range. As a result, correlations between atoms divide into radial and angular correlations, which enables us to treat them independently and gain valuable insights into their behaviors. Our results show that these correlations highly depend on system parameter values.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figure
