Dr. Timothy Shih, Professor, Computer Science & Information Engineering Dept., Tamkang University, Taiwan, will highlight potential research problems arising through current distance learning standards, and will provide a survey of distance education technologies and projects toward possible solutions. Topics such as ubiquitous computing, instruction authoring and assessment, educational technology, and standards for distance learning will be examined. Distance learning projects will be demonstrated.
