Effects of Digitalization and Intangible Assets in the Crop Production Sector

In economic research, the introduction of digital innovations in agriculture is identified as a critical factor for changing business models in terms of creating economies of scale, improving productivity and efficiency within a single farm, and creating and capturing value in the agricultural sector. The present study attempts, on the one hand, to systematize the effects of digitalization processes in relation to the crop sector from available research. On the other hand, it analyses empirical data of crop farms through the lens of digital transformation. An econometric analysis was carried out, using data from enterprises from the crop growing sector that carry out costs related to innovation activities.
