This report gives a brief overview of the literature on the relationship between noise exposure and health effects. The study was based on the hypothesis that exposure to noise is associated with psychological stress and that such effects can be identified by physiological health effects indicators. The aim of the pilot study was to introduce and test the applicablility of indicators. The aim of the pilot study was to introduce and test the applicability of inidcators for personal exposure and if possible human healt effects as a supplement to the more broadly used quextionnaires for annoyance and sleep disturbances and to identify determinants that irrespective of the exposures of interest, i.e. noise may affect eht health indicators.
