Government organizations and societal stakeholder groups generally recognize flood risks caused by extreme precipitation, and the need for extra measures. Despite this recognition, the present regional implementation of this governmental flood reduction strategy has called for further discussion. That water shortage is an issue, is not recognized by all parties, which has caused the discussion on implemen-tation to be further elaborated. To promote insight into these discussions, MNP experts examined the perceptions of the relevant stakeholders (governmental and non-governmental) in flood risks and possible measures.
