Consideration of Multifaceted Value of Allotment Garden

The allotment garden is the land use system which took place in Europe. It is a place where city residents search for substantial leisure and a sense of togetherness with natural environment and can experience agricultural work easily. The aim of this thesis is to consider how the allotment garden should be in our country from now on under the name of multifaceted value, after arranging the social background behind the birth of the allotment garden and the history up to the present days. As a result, it was found that the allotment garden began with the measure against poverty and gradually the multifaceted value such as a place for relaxation, scene preservation, measures against abandoned cultivated lands, a place for communication, the community activation including agritourism, community business, etc. were derived and existed. In particular, the way of the use based on the presupposition of the multifaceted value including environmental education is examined and established at present. Although raising this multifaceted value would not go further for a short period of time, it was suggested that the development would go based on the exchange of people who are involved in the allotment garden
