The Raman Spectra and Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance of the Addition Compound of Tellurium Tetrachloride and Antimony Pentachloride

The Raman spectra and NQR of TeCl4・SbCl5 are measured. The suthor's immediate concerns are with the structures of molecular TeCl4 and TeCl4 in TeCl4・SbCl5. Some researches have been finished about TeCl4 with Raman spectroscopy and the other methods, whose date point to C2v symmetry in gas state and C3v symmetry in liquid state. However the recent X-ray study suggests that the structure of TeCl4 is one shown in Fig.1. The authors are trying to determine the structure of TeCl4 with NQR and Raman Spectroscopy
