The article entitled "Confusion in the Periodic Table of the Elements" appeared in "Jouranl of Chemical Education". This report is concerned only with the most general periodic table becomes very popular at present. However the result of the difference between two methods (Fig. 1 and Fig, 2) in the use of A and B in the periodic table is utter confusion. The ACS Committee on Nomenclature, at its meeting in November 1981, suggested some very important considera tions to keep in mind in investigating alternatives to the A and B system.
