Caching is an essential component of Named Data Networking (NDN), enabling efficient and scalable content distribution for future networks. The caching strategy regulates content distribution by deciding which network nodes are most suited to store duplicates of popular data. Hence, cache placement decisions are crucial to the NDN cache strategy.
