Vibration, Buckling and Dynamic Stability of a Cantilever Rectangular Plate Subjected to Concentrated In-plane Load at Free End

The vibration, buckling and dynamic stability of a cantilever rectangular plate subjected to in-plane concentrated load at the free edge is studies in this paper. The small deflection theory of the thin plate is used. The Rayeigh-Ritz method is employed to solve vibration and buckling of the plate. The dynamic stability problem is solved by using the Hamilton principle to drive time variables. The resulting time variables are solved by the harmonic balanace method. Buckling properties and natural frequencies of the plate are shown at first. The regions of instability which contain combination resonances and simple parametric resonances are discussed for various aspect rations, dampinf constants and staticv loads
