This photo was taken before the spa town of Kiga was lost in a big fire in 1892 and before the new road between Miyanoshita and Miyagino opened in 1889. Jindairo of Kameya Inn and the entrance facing the new road can be seen. Yakushido is visible behind Kameya Inn. The buildings before them are Matsuzakaya Inn and Sengokuya Inn. The building half covered by the trees on the left is Chokairo of Matsuzakaya. Hayakawa Valley is in the right foreground
