This article examines the tasks of CSR (corporate social responsibility) management, and the relevance of concepts related to CSR management: sustainability, the triple bottom line and stakeholder engagement. This article points out that the design concept of CSR management system is sustainability-oriented, because the purpose of the system is to achieve the triple bottom line. When the target of CSR management is set for achieving sustainability of both business and society, the article suggests that stakeholder engagement is important as a requirement for the triple bottom line-oriented CSR management.
