The switching power supply is composed of not only the power source and linear elements such as the inductor, capacitor and resistor but also the nonlinear ones such as the MOSFET and diode. Therefore, its circuit behavior is complicated and there coexist multiple circuit operations that have largely different time scales. For this reason, it is often observed that the calculation time to analyze the switching power supply is very long and that the analysis cannot be performed in the worst case. This paper presents a new simulator to analyze switching power supplies.
