長崎県下の長手,鐙瀬両部落で, 1960年来,バンクロフト糸状虫症の疫学,特に伝播蚊との関係について一連の調査研究を行なっているが,本報では主として糸状虫症の浸淫状況について述べる. 1)長手部落: 1961年8月,部落民全員577名から採血し, 81名(14.0%)の仔虫陽性者を認めた.男性の仔虫陽性率は女性よりも有意的に高い.陽性率は5-9才では低く,年令が進むにつれて高くなり, 40-49才及び50-59才で最高となって,その後又低くなる.症状保有者は全住民の10.3%であり,最も普通な症状はクサフEpidemiological studies on the bancroftian filariasis, especially in relation to the vector mosquitoes, C.p. pallens and Aedes togoi were started in Nagate and Abumize Villages in 1960 and are in continuation.
