V okviru naše raziskave smo preučevali mehanske lastnosti ivernih plošč, izdelanih iz iveri bambusa. Iverjenje stebel bambusa smo izvedli v laboratorijskem iverilniku, nakar smo iveri presejali, da smo dobili primerne frakcije. V nadaljevanju smo izvedli serijo poskusov, pri katerih smo raziskovali različne kombinacije iveri smreke in bambusa, ki smo jih povezali z uporabo urea-formaldehidnega lepila. Skupaj smo izdelali pet enoslojnih in štiri trislojne iverne plošče. Izdelanim ploščam smo določili upogibno in natezno trdnost ter debelinski nabrek.
